Chazz Scott, Executive Director, Chief Creative Optimist

Charles (Chazz) Scott is a published writer, motivational speaker, and an accomplished computer security technologist from Ellicott City, Maryland. He holds both a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master’s of Science degree in Information Assurance from Hampton University. While attending Hampton University, Chazz read a book titled The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, which virtually changed his life forever. After reading the book, Chazz realized the importance of staying positive through times of adversity. He believed in the message so much that he wanted to start a movement centered upon the imperative message of positivity and optimism.

Chazz has a passion teaching workshops to youth about self-empowerment and the importance of gaining mental resilience to overcome trials and tribulations. Additionally, he spends much of his time studying how Positive Psychology intertwines with Quantum Physics. In the future, he has dreams of publishing a paper discovering the long terms effects of positive thinking and how it directly affects the genes and mind of the human body. Currently, Chazz is a Cyber Security Engineer working for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency defending our nation's Cybersecurity infrastructure. Additionally, he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that is present... we experience heaven on Earth.

Jean Claude (J.C.) Louis-Charles III, Chief Data Officer, Visionaire

Jean Claude (J.C.) Louis-Charles III is a man on a mission to leave the world better than he found it. As a 2014 graduate of Hampton University with a degree in Biology, he has a passion for the sciences. J.C. is an avid traveler who loves new places almost as much as he does new people and strives to understand as many cultures and perspectives and he learns to understand himself. He is a native of Northern Virginia, a place that exposed him to many different cultures. His love for knowledge has led him to read many books, most of which, are on the topics of psychology and sociology. Ironically enough the book that changed his life was on neither of these subjects. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho resonated with him deeply. To J.C. this book was about a dream that became a journey. He believes that there is no such thing as “can’t” and that all people have a purpose in life, they just need to find it. Additionally, along his life’s journey, he found meditation and is a deep believer in the importance of this practice. He aspires to become a public speaker on optimism and his view of it, but more than anything he enjoys listening to others views and having meaningful discussions.

“Being realistic is the most commonly traveled road to mediocrity”
